Messages for loved ones and keeping in touch

We recognise the impact that a long stay in hospital can have on families and the importance of maintaining strong communication.  Our ward staff are keeping in touch with patients’ next of kin directly and our Voluntary Services team can help pass on personal messages from family and friends.

New parking system at QA Hospital

Date: 04 August 2022

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to patients and visitors at QA Hospital this week following the introduction of a new parking system. We are working hard to resolve the issues and minimise the disruption experienced by our patients and visitors.

Visitors are required to visit the parking machine before leaving the carpark and input your registration number. To support the introduction of the new system and the resolution of the issues, we will have members of our security team based at the parking machines to assist anyone that needs help.

Parking registration and payment can be processed via the on-site machines or the JPass app, unfortunately we are aware that there are also issues with the app which our teams have escalated to the app provider to resolve.

We will provide an update once the issues have been resolved, together with enhanced signage to support with the implementation of the new system.

Blue badge holders can continue to park for free and will need to validate parking at our main reception by showing proof of your blue badge.

We appreciate that, especially at peak times, these issues are causing significant delays and frustration for our patients and visitors, for which we apologise. Thank you to our patients and visitors for bearing with us whilst we work hard to resolve these issues and will continue to update you.
